The QA Consultant, in a nutshell...
The Consultant (QA) is an application tester who works in agile mode. They are responsible for ensuring that software functions properly and complies with management rules. They collaborate with project management (MOA/PO), development, and production teams. They are committed to ensuring that their test campaigns provide optimized functional coverage.
Are you familiar with the job and interested in it?
The QA consultant is first involved upstream of the testing phase. They must implement the software qualification plan. They establish a testing methodology and an automation strategy. This initial stage involves writing scenarios and preparing the testing environment.
Analysis of results and identification of anomalies
During the test campaign, the QA consultant must analyze and report in detail any anomalies encountered on the installed tool(s). They are also responsible for reporting on the test campaigns.
Ensure that anomalies are corrected and that there is no regression.
The QA Consultant plays a key role in verifying that reported errors are properly addressed and corrected by developers. This allows them to update their test repository and verify non-regressions.
Provide methodological support
The QA Consultant provides methodological support to operational teams (developers, business analysts, project managers, etc.). This assistance covers the testing process, design, and monitoring. For example, they may advise on the choice of test campaign management tools and/or test automation tools and also participate in their integration.
